Lloyd’s Fundraiser for Abby’s Heroes

This May, I’m taking on another Ultra Challenge — 106 kilometers around the Isle of Wight — to raise vital funds for Abby’s Heroes.

Many of you will remember that I took on the South Downs Ultra Challenge last September, and together we raised an incredible £1,794.16, far exceeding our target!

I’ve taken what I learned from last time, upgraded my shoes and socks, and promised Louise and Beth that the moment something starts to niggle, I’ll deal with it instead of stubbornly pushing on. With a bit of luck (and a lot of blister prevention), I’m hoping to get well beyond the 70km milestone I reached before!

Once again, I’m doing it all for Abby’s Heroes, who provide vital support to children and families facing cancer. The charity supports children and their families — including bereaved families — who come under the care of the Piam Brown and Teenage and Young Adult (TYA) wards at Southampton General Hospital. They offer financial and practical help, as well as opportunities to create lasting memories at the most difficult of times.

If you can spare anything — or even just cheer me on — it genuinely means the world.
